Cover provided for theft, fire, lightning, explosion, aircraft, impact by animal, vehicle or falling trees, riot, civil commotion, material damage, vandalism, storm, flood and escape of water/oil. Cover for Accidental Damage can be included. (Charity Only)
- Business Interruption
Cover for the amount of loss resulting from activities at the premises being interrupted.
Cover can include:-
- Loss of income/gross profit
- Increased cost of working
- Loss of rent
- Book debts
Extensions can include - denial of access, failure of public supplies, specified disease and death of patron(Charity Only).
- Public Liability
Covers your legal liability arising from your activities resulting in death or injury to members of the public and loss or damage to a third party. Cover can also be extended to include products sold or supplied by you. or property damage as a consequence of defects in a product supplied.
- Employer’s liability
If your organisation engages employees or volunteers you will require employers liability. This cover is compulsory for which you as employers are legally responsible by law. It is a legal requirement to have this cover. The organisation can be fined or an official imprisonment if not complied with. The standard limits of indemnity £10 million.
- Personal Accident
Cover for injury to employees or (volunteers – applies to charities only)) arising from accidents while working for the organisation. Pays a capital benefit for death/loss of limb and weekly benefits for temporary total disablement.
- Money
Cover can be provided for loss /theft of money on the premises, on the way to the bank, held at home and banks night safe. Cover also includes injury resulting from assault.
- Legal Expenses
Pays for legal costs and expenses and certain compensation awards arising from the following types of legal disputes:-
- Employment disputes
- Employment compensation awards
- Legal defence
- Property protection
- Bodily injury
- Contract disputes
- Tax protection
- Statutory license protection
- Publisher’s indemnity
Provides cover for libel, defamation, slander and other infringements i.e. breach of copyright arising from your publications.
- Third Party Hirers Indemnity
Can provide cover at your discretion for legal liability for persons or organisations hiring the premises.
- Pastoral Care
Provides cover for the provision of pastoral care (by authorised persons) to persons seeking help from the church. This can range from caring for others in their church or wider community to the provision of non professional counselling provided. Cover provided also includes claims made against you for bodily injury or property damage and also includes pecuniary losses (monetary losses) not involving injury or damage to property arising from neglect, errors or omission arising from the pastoral care provided.
- Professional Indemnity
Provides indemnity for legal liability, for costs or damages arising from any actual or alleged failure in the performance of professional services or breach of professional duty.
- Computer Breakdown
Covers repair following sudden and unforeseen breakdown of computer and additional expenses for reinstatement or replacement data.
- Fidelity Guarantee
Provides indemnity against loss of money or goods belonging to or for which the organisation is legally responsible arising from the dishonest or fraudulent conduct of a trustee, employee or volunteer which is not reasonably recoverable form the person responsible.
- Trustee Indemnity
Through our experience in the church and charity market we have noticed that trustees are often unaware of the potential liabilities they can personally be responsible for when volunteering for this important role.
